So you got a rad bike, but want to replace those stock rims - or maybe you want a smoother, lighter ride. The ENVE M70 Thirty HV Carbon Rim is hand made in the USA and of the highest quality using carbon fiber that transfers less vibrations for a smoother ride over aluminum rims. These rims are the High Volume version, with a shallower hook-less sidewall that accommodates newer HV tires. Why go HV? High Volume tires allow for greater surface area than your standard tire. ENVE has done extensive testing in order to find the ideal rim width to maximize the contact patch of the tire without sacrificing weight savings, strength or tire longevity. HV – With the advent of high-volume tires, ENVE expanded the M Series line to include wider rim models specifically designed for these tires. The HV rims are just wide enough to provide all the traction and pressure benefits - but not so wide as to add unnecessary weight and create a cumbersome ride.
