Back in β85 I entered my first Triathlon and after a good swim was first out on my K-Mart Targa road bike. Needless to say I got my doors blown off cranking that tank into the transition. The next day I was in my Local Bike Shop and walked away the proud owner of a Bianchi 12 speed. Three months and several Triathlons later the LBS ordered me a Vitus Carbon Road bike (the first in the city with index shifting). To pay for the bike the owner of the shop hired me and I worked the rest of the summer on the tools supporting my addiction. A few years, dozens of Triathlons and a handful of Mountain Bike races later I moved to Sherwood Park and decided to start my own business fixing bikes out of the laundry room. After a couple of years the basement was over run with bikes and I decided I had better build a shop. Up went a garage and in the blink of an eye it was full and by year 16 the property was pushed to the limit. So here we are, my wife and I took the plunge opening Mud, Sweat and Gears in December of 2006 at 133 Main Blvd.
