The Spur is our cross-country bike that refuses to be confined by labels. Now featuring 120mm rear and 130mm front travel paired with our famously progressive geometry, it blurs the lines of traditional XC. It's fast enough to race, tough enough for downcountry, and versatile enough to pull trail duty after hours. The Spur's broad range doesn't compromise performance in the category, it delivers across the board, making it the perfect ride for true singletrack enthusiasts.
Lightweight, razor-sharp, and unapologetically fast, the Spur is drawing XC athletes and performance-driven riders away from their old stiff XC bike and toward something far more capable. It delivers the precision and control to charge climbs, shred descents, and thread technical lines with confidence, redefining what an XC bike can do. On trail, it's pure Transition: lively, playful, and eager to rail corners, boost every bump or root, and turn every feature into an opportunity for fun. It's this high-energy personality that resonates with riders who aren't interested in following the traditional XC mold, they're here to forge their own line.
The Spur now features 130mm of front travel, optimized around the latest Fox 34 Float SL, a fork that delivers increased capability without adding weight. This upgrade reflects the evolving demands of modern XC, where courses are becoming more technical and terrain more aggressive. We anticipate this longer travel configuration becoming the new standard in the category. For everyday riders, the added front-end support expands the Spur's trail versatility, offering greater confidence and control on descents without compromising efficiency on the climbs.
