Frequently Asked Questions

Why should you get your suspension serviced?

Modern mountain bike suspensions are equipped with NBR O-rings and oil-filled hydraulic dampers to regulate its movement as you ride. It's normal for these components to experience wear and tear during use. Servicing your suspension at the recommended intervals helps maintain performance and can prevent costly failures.

How often should I have my suspension serviced?

Suggested service intervals are typically 25–50 hours for a basic service and 100–200 hours for a full rebuild. However, recommended intervals vary by manufacturer and model.

FOAM!

Foaming (better known as aeration) of the oil ruins the performance of your suspension.

There are many reason for damper oil to aerate, but the most common scenarios are caused by worn out IFP (Internal floating piston) seals and pressure ingress from from the air sleeve.

Without regular maintenance, pressurized air or nitrogen can gradually migrate past the IFP seals and mix with the damper oil. Aerated oil reduces damping consistency and suspension performance.
