Criterium RS is available in our TE (Team Edition) 350tpi Corespun Cotton casing for improved weight and compliance. 

This Challenge TLR model is hookless rim compatible.

  • Weight: 25C - 225g
  • Construction: Challenge handmade tires combine comfort, performance, and grip in a way other tires can't match. Our handmade tires are assembled step-by-step by experienced craftspeople. High quality natural glues and latex coatings are applied to ultra-supple casing materials like silk, cotton, or polyester. The result is a small-batch tire with a ride feel that is simply on a different level.
  • Series: Race Day Performance – The go-to for our professional athletes, TEAM EDITION tires are a step up in casings and compounds and are the ideal balance of features for special efforts.
  • Casing: Corespun Cotton with thread counts of 320-350tpi is naturally softer and more supple than polyester but is more likely to absorb water so we seal our cotton sidewalls for increased durability.
  • Compound: Delivers lower rolling resistance than our basic SMART compound without sacrificing traction or durability. SMARTprime rubber compound forms the basis of our fastest road tires yet.
  • Puncture Protection: Our Puncture Protection System (PPS) is a tough, tightly-woven fabric placed between the tread and casing to increase puncture resistance.
